Electron Energy Levels Simulation

This Electron Energy Levels Simulation helps you understand how electrons occupy fixed energy states inside an atom. You will see how energy absorption and emission trigger quantum jumps between different shell levels.

In this lab, you can test hydrogen-like species such as hydrogen, ionized helium, or doubly ionized lithium. You can select initial and target energy levels ($n$) to watch electron transitions. You can also monitor absorbed photon wavelengths, transition probabilities, and live energy values in electron-volts in real time.

Use the simple controls to adjust photon energy, change simulation speed, and view line spectrum graphs. It is an easy and visual way to master atomic spectra and quantized energy states without complex formulas.
